Shiree Bosson

The Basin Music Festival welcomed Shiree as a volunteer in 2016 and she has worked a variety of roles including secretary, volunteer coordinator, website, social media and grant applications.

Volunteering has been a major part of Shiree's life.  She started at 12 years old as school librarian and joined a school guitar group that performed for residents in aged care.  Later on in life, more librarian jobs, worked with cats (not the musical but a cattery!), and was secretary at her son's playcentre.

Music was integrated into Shiree's life early, having been presented with a ukelele at 4yrs.  Later, she studied voice, piano and more guitar.  She has performed on stage for Chess the Musical with the Invercargill Music Theatre and was involved in productions at Whitianga, NZ where she played the lead Heidi in Frankenstein the Pantomime and performed solo at the 10 year anniversary for the Mercury Bay Theatre.  Shiree has two gorgeous sons who are also gifted with voice, guitar and piano.

Since moving to Australia in 2010, Shiree left behind a career working in administration and customer services for Council, and commenced work in aged care and disabilities.  She obtained a Diploma in Leisure and Health, works with children and adults, and operates as a sole trader working with NDIS clients.

Moving to The Basin in 2015 was a great move for Shiree.  She believed volunteering at TBMF would be a fabulous way to meet others.  She was right and has met some amazing folk!
